It is my great honor to accept the Chairman’s gavel for the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce for 2010. I would like to thank Vic Grout and his leadership team for making 2009 a remarkably successful year for the Chamber and business community during such trying economic times. I look forward to continuing to build upon the strong foundation of programs that has been established. We have adopted an ambitious Program of Work which continues many of the popular programs and services you have come to enjoy as well as added some new initiatives that will assist in making your business more prosperous. We have also adopted a Legislative Agenda and developed a Political Action Committee that will allow for us to be proactive with our elected officials in communicating our needs and wants. As we move into the future, it is important that we recognize all of the past chairmen, businesses, and volunteers for their dedication and support in making the Greer Chamber of Commerce what it is today. The foundation of the Greer Chamber is strong and I am confident that together we can overcome any challenge that comes our way.
