They are easy to get to. They have gate guards, check in was easy. We went for new years and the place was pretty packed. The activities and shops were closed and anything that was open closed early in the park. They charge double to get propane filled (20lbs=$20), rip off. The bath houses were updated and new, of course people are nasty when it comes to other people's things, so they were nasty. We had a ocean front pad spot. It was nice. The only issue with hook up was the cable didn't work and was on the opposite side of all the hookups for the camper, same with the water. So my power cable barely made it.Sewer was right there and out of the way, it was not threaded so I had to use some rocks to hold it down.

We have been camping at Pirateland for at least 15 years. We love it! It is neat and clean and the staff is wonderful. The gentlemen at the gate are so friendly and loaded with information. A few years back we had trouble with the brakes on our truck -- we needed a good mechanic. One of the gentlemen highly recommended a mechanic local there to Surfside. We got great service at a reasonable price. Thank you Pirateland for a lot of great years camping!

Great winter rates for camping at the beach. Crew always updating the campground. Friendliest staff always. Save gated community.

Our favorite campground! Ocean front with lots for kids and families to do. The lazy river is awesome, but you can't have drinks in it. The regular pool is great. And the younger kids love the pirate themed splashpad. Kids can ride bikes throughout the campground. There's fishing and minigolf and paddle boats. Food trucks come every day. The facilities are well maintained. There's a neighborhood market Wal-Mart near by for groceries and other supplies.

This place was OK. Was scheduled to be here for a week and ended up leaving a few days early. The food was great and the staff was good. A huge downfall is that The campsites in the inland area have absolutely no space and very congested. Very difficult to park your camper without the help of neighbors. Definitely not enough room to park if you have a large truck or vehicle. Also when trying to drive a golf cart or vehicle, pedestrians do not move out of the way - ever. You can definitely tell the age of the park, but they do try to cater to all age groups. Probably will choose to go back to Ocean Lakes.
