History:

The John's Island Regional Library was opened October 26, 2004. At 16,000 square feet it is the largest of the five Regional Libraries. The facility provides an auditorium, a smaller conference room and a children's story hour room. The collections are comprised of 35,000 volumes, DVD's, videos, books on cassette, books on CD, music on CD, 1,000 volumes in Spanish and 500 AV materials in Spanish. Approximately 40 computers with two in Spanish serve the communities of John's Island, Kiawah, Seabrook, and Wadmalaw.
