Coyote Coffee Cafe, Pickens, SC

Your journey begins with a quick fill up at Coyote Coffee Cafe, a gem of a coffee shop specializing in coffee, smoothies, protein shakes, and delicious hot breakfast favorites. The ambiance alone is enough to get you excited for your awaiting adventure.

Mountain View Restaurant, Walhalla, SC

Once you’re finished admiring the beauty of the gorges, head south to Walhalla’s popular Mountain View Restaurant. This locals favorite serves up a generous variety of cuisine, from seafood and steaks to meat-and-veggie plates. Chau Ram County Park

Known as the county’s best kept secret, Chau Ram County Park features a stunning 40-foot waterfall, suspension bridge, and several hiking trails that make for an enjoyable afternoon. Here you can hike to the top of the falls, or make your way across the Chauga River and explore other areas of the park. It’s also one of the best places to soak in the gorgeous fall foliage that attracts so many visitors to the state.

Chattooga Belle Farm, Long Creek, SC

Just a short drive from Chau Ram lies one of the largest farms in the area. Chattooga Belle Farm specializes in a variety of fruits, including numerous grape and apple varieties, that are ready for you to pick your fill. If you aren’t feeling up to the challenge, head to their market shop where you can stock up on fresh, pre-picked assortments and other excellent options.

Sweet Dreams Scare House, Easley, SC

No fall road trip is complete without paying homage to everyone’s favorite spooky holiday, and a trip to Sweet Dreams Scare House will do the trick. Realistic and enjoyably frightening, this haunted house is nothing short of intense.

Hide Out at the Mill, Easley, SC

For a refreshing libation and quick bite, head to Hide Out at the Mill. They’ve got one of the most extensive food menus in town, and will have you thinking differently about what bar food should be. This haunt is also known for having karaoke, live music, DJs, and other festivities to keep you entertained while you unwind from Day 1 of your road trip.

Caesars Head State Park, Cleveland, SC

Just 40 minutes on the road and you’ll arrive at one of the most breathtaking state parks in South Carolina. If you have the time, it’s worth it to hike through the area, especially the Raven Cliff Falls Trail that takes you to an overlook of the scenic waterfall, or the Pinnacle Pass loop that offers amazing views at the top of the ridge.
