About Us:

The Chapin CommunityTheatre (CCT) is a program of the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission. It is governed and run by a Board of Directors made up of local residents. Many hours are devoted to this volunteer organization to provide a top notch theatre experience for the community. It is a labor of love."CCT is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts."

As information, the Town of Chapin is trying to obtain the CCT Building from School District 5 to make it our permanent home. If that effort is successful, our building campaign will be aimed at the restoration of this historic Chapin icon. Many of our patrons have told stories about this old High School auditorium and its important role in the history of Chapin. If the Town is unsuccessful, we will go to Plan B - which is to raise funds to find a piece of land and build a new Chapin Community Theatre building. If you have a piece of land in the Chapin area you'd like to donate, we have become a 501c3 charitable organization and all gifts are tax deductible. Regardless, we would love to hear your thoughts on these options.
